Use of fluorescent stain on IEF gels - (Mar/15/2016 )

Hello.  I currently stain IEF gels (without fixation) with a combination of commassie/crocein stain and am interested in a fluorescent stain such as SYPRO Ruby or others.  Does anyone have any experience with using fluorescent stains with IEF gels and is fixation necessary?  Thanks!
