Use of speedvac to dry in-gel peptide digest before sending for LCMS - (Mar/14/2016 )

Hi all

after final peptide extraction of an in-gel digestion, i am supposed to dry it in speedvac.

Since this is the first time i am using the machine, I wonder what temperature I should use?

And let say if i dry the peptide at room temperature, how long would it take to dry the peptide sample (about 200ul)?

Please give me an idea. Thanks.

someone in lab recommended to use 50-60C overnight drying in speedvac for digested peptide (in 200ul solvent). Does it sound okay?
