blood storage at room temperature - (Jul/01/2015 )

hi,

For analysis purposes, blood is stored at 3-4c for maximum 5 days or need to store at -80C to preserve the contents.

How about the idea of blood storage at room temperature and the necessary points to consider in achieving this aim? Any suggestions please. thank you

If we figured out a safe way to do this, it could be great because it would simplify the facilities needed to work with such samples, right? I wonder how easy it will be to do this, though. Bacteria loves proliferating in blood, so very careful attention needs to be paid while sealing these packets. And the proteins in blood must easily denature at warmer temperatures, so that needs to be kept in mind...

You should write a paper on this if you figure it out, good luck !
