Centrifuges in labs - (Mar/04/2015 )

Some labs need to use centrifuges? What exactly are they used for?

-2444256703-

Laboratory centrifuges are used for the separation of fluids, gas or liquid, achieved by spinning a vessel containing material at high speed thus the centrifugal force pushes heavier materials to the outside of the vessel. These kinds of equipments are commonly used in laboratories from academic to clinical research. They are also used to purify cells, subcellular organelles, viruses, proteins, and nucleic acids.
