acidic native PAGE - (Jan/16/2015 )

Hi everyone!

I would like to try acidic native PAGE for my protein (pI=9) and I've found the following protocol:

I don't like the riboflavin and fluorescent (?) light part. Do you think I could simply use APS (and if not - why not?)

Apologies for starting the same topic over - I found a topic in archive where someone mentions there is a protocol for acidic PAGE on this forum, but couldn't find the protocol

here is one of the posts in the archive with the formulation for acid gels: acid gel formulation.

the reason for using riboflavin (or riboflavin-5-phosphate) is to avoid leftover aps (and breakdown products) in the gel.
