Quantification of IgG - (Dec/04/2014 )

Can I Quantify IgG with this labwares:

-Multiskan

-Spectrophotometer Jenway 6315

And why i can process?

THANKS

you should be able to determine protein concentration. if the igg is pure then yes. if it is a mixture then you will not be able to specifically determine igg.

Thank!

How can i purify my IgG?

Have you a protocol?

Best regards!

here are a couple of ways:

immobilized protein a or protein g will reversibly bind igg (which one you need depends on the species in which the antibody is produced)

i used a synthetic protein a and g functional mimic, called avid al, which i purchased from the nest group. unfortunately, they don't seem to carry it anymore (the producing company, bioprobes int'l, inc, appears to be defunct).

either way, you bind at neutral pH and elute at low pH (the specific protocol should come with the material purchased).
