Is hygromycin-containing medium light sensitive? - (Oct/15/2014 )

Hi everyone,

As the antibiotic Hygromycin B is light sensitive, I was wondering if the medium completed with Hygromycin B must be also protected from light, or if it's not necessary regarding the amout of the antibiotic in 500mL medium.

The molecules of hygromycin are still light sensitive, no matter how much is there... you need to protect it from light.
