Production of amylase - (Sep/18/2014 )

Is it possible for Lactobacillus dextranicum to produce amylase? I ask because I got an assignment on production of amylase from this species but when i search online, i keep finding Leuconostoc dextranicum? Please help. Thanks.

A quick search on bacterial catalogues indicates that there is no Lactobacillus dextranicum but a Leuconostoc mesenteroides sub dextranicum.
