What is the full name for TA cloning - (Sep/09/2014 )

Hi guys,

I got my paper accepted by publication. I used TA cloning in a part of my work. The reviewer asked me to "Please provide expansion for TA".

Can anyone help me on this?

That's the name it is commonly known as, it isn't an abbreviation other than that those are the abbreviations for the DNA bases, but I bet if you called it Thymidine Adenosine cloning, no-one would recognise it.

Hi bob1,

I thought of that as well. Perhaps i'll just put it as "cloning".

You could also send a letter back with it explaining why you haven't done the suggested expansion. TA cloning is pretty common, but I would guess your reviewer hasn't come across it.

You might include a reference to one of the commercial versions of the product, showing their use of the term.
