Finding potential binding targets for a transcriptional regulator protein? - (Aug/27/2014 )

Hi everyone,

I'm doing a project on a transcriptional regulator gene. There's a paper on the gene regulating an enzyme involved in arginine metabolism, and there's also some other information on it:

- It's part of the LysR transcriptional regulator family, and as such has a N-terminal DNA-binding helix-turn-helix motif and a C-terminal co-inducer-binding domain

My committee suggested to me that I look at some potential binding targets for the transcriptional regulator I'm working on. This isn't really my area of study. Is there a website or tool out there that can help me with this? Or can anyone suggest to me a place to start? Thanks

you may find something at expasy.org/proteomics.
