2,5 M glycine - (Jun/19/2014 )

This is crossed from the Molecular Biology forum but I can't delete the thread there.

I have a stock solution of 2,5 M glycine used for ChIP that I store in 4 C (filtered through 0,22 um). After 2 months of storage and use, I noticed that large clear crystals have formed in my bottle. Is this solution still usable? Can I heat to dissolve the crystals? How can I prevent this?

As melting point is 245oC, I think you can heat it to 50- 60oC to dissolve. White Crystals is normal physical property so it may have settled due to low temperature.
