ClaI restriction enzyme efficency - (Jun/19/2014 )

Hi

I am going to start a cloning and I am considering to use  the ClaI restriction site for insertion of a fragment into my vector. I know that ClaI can be methylation sensitive depending on the the surrounding sequence. the nucleotides  around the site in my vector are CATCGATA so I think it will not be methylated, still I have not worked with ClaI before so I was wondering if it is an easy enzyme to work with and also if there are other issues that I need to consider about this enzyme.
