TANNIC ACID CONTAINING MEDIA - (Jun/13/2014 )

Hello everyone,

I am currently working on my dissertation on tannin/tannic acid degrading bacteria from soil sample. But the problem is that tannin/tannic acid has the ability to stop agar from it's gelatin process thus the media falls off or should I say it doesn't solidify. I already read alot of articles regarding this, but my question is how did they prepare a solid minimal media containing tannic acid when it doesn't let agar work? can someone plz help me how i can optimize this process.
