Alternatives to mouse antibody for mouse tissue - (Jun/10/2014 )

Hi all

I have mouse tissues, extracted protein and would like to run a western blot to detect my protein of interest. However, the only good antibody for this protein is anti-mouse (works really well on human cell lines). The rabbit version is really bad, loads of unspecific binding and should not be used at all. Is there a way around using anti-mouse antibody on mouse tissues?

do you mean that the antibody is produced in mouse ("anti-mouse" would be exactly what you need)?

is there any way that you could adjust conditions (eg dilution, tween concentration, salt concentration, pH, preabsorption) to use the rabbit antibody effectively?
