How to proof that L.casei is safe to consume - (Jun/02/2014 )
Hi, Does anyone know is there any agencies or websites that can provide me the supportive documents to prove that L.casei subps.casei is safe to consume? Thanks.
A search of US GRAS (generally recognized as safe) did not find that subsp - two relevant listings are:
Lactobacillus casei strain Shirota
Lactobacillus casei subsp. rhamnosus strain GG
But they didn't have any information and showed that Lactobacillus casei subsp. casei is safe right? I afraid different strains will showed different effect.
They may or may not offer different risks. More likely no one has invested the resources to get it listed.
