Smirnoff distribution - (May/19/2014 )

Hi,

I am planning to use OriginPro8, in ordrer to do Smirnoff distribution, with and without Bins.

I`ve never used neither such test neither the software.

I wonder if somebody is familiar with such test, if  can give some elements to start with.

thanks in advance

I wrote it badly, I meand the kolmogorov-smirnov test

Well it's a quite simple  test to see if two datasets (with usually not normal distribution) differ significantly, or if one dataset differs from a reference probability distribution. So it's a non-parametric alternative for the t-test (more or less, as you can do some more stuff with it).

Anyway Origins is a great software, but I never worked with it, to see how it works you have to read the manual or ask in the origins forum: http://www.originlab.com/forum/default.asp

And you also can do the test online: http://www.physics.csbsju.edu/stats/KS-test.n.plot_form.html
