Glycogen affect restriction enzyme digestion? - (Feb/08/2014 )

Hi, I am wondering if too much glycogen (say 1ug/ul) will have effect on restriction enzyme digestion or not? I think the enzyme should work but I am not sure will the glycogen create star activity? 

I know common RE (Xba, BamHI, EcoRI, XhoI) do work in the presence glycogen. However I no experience with the more exotic RE, the ones that need to cut as a dimer.

I have also never experienced Star activity myself before, like due to the fact I tend to cut my DNA in volumes no smaller than 20ul with no more 5% enzymes total.

So I would recommend the digest be cut in a bigger volume if you are concern about star activity.
