DNAStar Lasergene suite cost - (Jan/08/2014 )

Happy New Year to everyone!

May this be a year of accomplishing things and going to new and more creative ones!

I'm a PhD student wishing to perform multiple alignments and further phylogenetic analyses on my sequences and I've read a bit about DNA Star Lasergene suite. Does anyone know how much it costs and whether it is easy for me, working on my own, to get it (or do I have to find way through the hospital I'm working at?)

Since, I'm asking, I used to work with BioEdit but I think I need something fresher.

i can't tell you about lasergene but you can find free applications for multiple alignment (eg clustalw) and phylogenetic analyses at expasy.org.
