Sudden problems with Separating Proteins using SDS Gel - (Nov/13/2013 )

Hi everyone,

I have problems with separating three Proteins using SDS PAGE, and I Never had this Problems before! And i am at the end with my nerves! The MW of the Proteins Ranges between 20-24 kDA. I have always been able to nicely separate them using a 13% SdS gel. But not during the Last 3 Weeks! I exchanged all buffers, used New AA, but nothing happenend. Bands "stick" together and appear as one fat band! Do You have an idea? Thanks so much!

make a 10% gel and retry

you can separate low molecular weight proteins and peptides with tris-tricine gels (shagger and von jagow). for the formulation search the forum for "tricine".
