cisplatin solubility as a cytotoxic agent - (Nov/06/2013 )

Dear All,
I want to use cisplatin as a cytotoxic agent for my HepG2 cells.

It has a very low solubility in H2O and Nacl.

Better solubility in DMSO, (But a paper in 2008 , prove that in DMSO it forms adducts that is less cytotoxic than  the free cisplatin, please check http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18439683)

I wonder if any one has some experience in dealing with such cytotoxic agent??

and what is the best way to deal with it to give reproducible results

Regards

I've used it, but I think we dissolved in DMSO, or perhaps purchased it as a solution already.  You could try Dimethylformamide?
