NGS target enrichment kits - (Oct/09/2013 )

Hi,

I'm a newbie at all this and my supervisor wants to buy a target enrichment kit that is simple and could work on possible degraded samples like DNA extracted from paraffin embedded samples. I've looked around and I like the look of the Haloplex system (Agilent), but we're still trying to decide which would be the best. And our choices have been narrowed down to Haloplex, Sureselect (both Agilent) and TruSeq/Nextera. Does anyone have any experience with these kits and possible offer some advise as to which is better?

Thank you.

Our students use Illumina kits. Maybe it depends on your NGS machine too. Check this out:
