T5 Promoter - (Sep/06/2013 )

THis may be a dumb question, but I'm working with an expression vector that has the T5/lac O promoter. THe description of the product says that the promoter is recongized by E. coli RNA polymerase. Does this mean any strain of E. coli? Are there any that are not recommended for this system?

I believe so, yes.  I've used T5 promoter with many different strains.I dont know of any recommendations that are specific to that system.
