Pseudomonas aeruginosa 14 with pUC19? - (Jul/08/2013 )

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can tell me if a plasmid (pDsRed-Express2**) which has a pUC19 "backbone" be expressed in Pseudomonas aeruginosa 14?

The recommended propagation strain is E. coli DH5a but I wanted to electroporate the plasmid into PA14.
Can someone tell me if this is possible or if there are any articles that have done this?

Thank you,
Ted

It will probably work.

I copied the info below from the manual of pDsRed-Express2 vector, hope it's helpful for you.

pDsRed-Express2 is primarily intended to serve as a source of DsRed-Express2 cDNA. The flanking MCS
regions make it possible to excise the DsRed-Express2 coding sequence and insert it into other vector
systems. The vector can also be used to express DsRed-Express2 in bacteria.
