siRNA Agarose gel electrophoresis - Protocol - (Apr/28/2013 )

Hi there,

I am a first timer when it comes to RNA work. My supervisor has instructed me to find out what the best known protocol is for separating out siRNA's via agarose gel to ensure there is no degradation - i.e. an integrity gel.

Has anyone had any experience in this field, or know of a resource which may be helpful in this regard?

Thanks :)..

You don't need any special protocol for this. You can just run an agarose gel as you would for DNA. Undegraded duplex siRNA is very easy to see in the gel.
