Recommendation for GOOD anti-6xHis-tag and anti-Strep-II-tag antibodies? - (Feb/08/2013 )

This topics may be already talked for many times...

I am a freshman in WB. Could anyone recommend good commercial antibodies for His-tag and StrepII-tag? Thanks a lot!

I am going to tag my protein with His but I want to purify without anti-His. They told me to use nickel columns. check Pierce for kits, or Abcam for antibodies.

Hi, So you mean Abcam's antibodies are good?

I use Maine Biotechnology Services anti-His MAb (MAb 230P - I think) and it works quite well for western blot and ELISA purposes.

Qiagen also has a variety of anti-his antibodies that can be specific to your his tag if you don't have a simple 6xhis that is easily detected (5xhis, 4xhis etc) and they also have nickel agarose for purification. You can buy it all as a kit
