Sanger Sequencing RNAse Interference? - (Jan/14/2013 )

Hi everyone,

Just wondering for those who have experience with sequencing. Does having RNAseI in your plasmid preps affect sequencing?

I have a bit of contam in my samples and a little paranoid it will not give me clean sequencing.

Thanks!

RNAse has no effect on sequencing (other than the normal issues of having too much protein in a sequencing reaction). The RNAse should be largely removed by later stages of a miniprep procedure.
