Tissue Homogenate - (Jan/14/2013 )

I'll have to make a homogenate of tissue (aorta) and now I face the problem what the best method to store them.
I cannot not use them immediatly so I have to collect them. Is it better to store the aorta as whole or as homogenates? I'm a little bit afraid of protein degredation because I have to measure different protein levels of the homogenates ;)

Thanks for your help.

Either should be fine at -80, but for best results I would homogenize in a buffer with protease inhibitors and then freeze.
