Is glutamine synthetase present in animals? - (Jan/12/2013 )

Hi everybody

I've been looking for a while now, and haven't come across this anywhere. Is glutamine synthetase (enzyme synthesizing glutamine from glutamate and ammonia) present in heterotrophs, e.g animals? This is quite a big deal, because it is the primary pahtway of ammonia assimilation in plants.

Yes it is present in human.
