Is there any protocol or method to link or bind two different recombinant proteins togather......?........ other than going for cloning them again.....

If two proteins are linked with NHS, how do we confirm that? I mean control where we don't add NHS will also give two bands of proteins as the linked protein will give??? or is it that linked proteins will show different mobility on native PAGE?
