Plasmid DNA at RT for a few days - (Nov/12/2012 )
Accidentally forgot to keep my aliquot of plasmid DNA back into the freezer and was left on my lab bench for a few days (at RT). What are the ramifications of this action? Plasmid will be intended for transfection.

If it was in TE buffer and 20-25 oC for few days, it should be fine.
Go ahead, it should work.

You can always re-transform it, or grow up some more and do another prep...

What about 20-25oC for a few days in water?

I once accidentally forgot plasmids on the bench for more than a month. After that I had to put some on Whatman paper and send overseas by mail. They sucessfully transformed and never noticed anything
