PhiX174 DNA - (Oct/21/2012 )

Hi I have one doubt in Bacteriophage PhiX174 .. I will transform PhiX174 Dna into E. coli cells. after transformation we can isolate colonies for use any antibiotic resistance or antibiotic free medium?

PhiX174 won't have native antibiotic resistance so presumably you are cloning some of it into a plasmid - how would you then select for the plasmid?

Note: I think this is a homework question, so I'm making you think a bit...
