Multiple bands on blot with one antibody - (Aug/06/2012 )

Ran a standard blot and saw 2 bands with a ~10kD difference (e.g. 125 and 130kD). Was wondering how do we know which band is the 'true' band? and is it common to see more than one band?

yes it's quite common to see non-specific bands. You just need to run controls to know which band is the true band.
