Apoptosis induction - (Jun/21/2012 )

Hi all,
I used 1uM Staurosporine to induce three cancer cell lines to apoptosis, but after 24h I found normal cells are really rare and all cells looks just as dead or apoptotic. It is my first time to do the apoptosis induction. I wonder whether the result is normal and 1uM Staurosporine 24h is proper? Should I limit the time to 6h or 12h?
Thanks!

Staurosporine is a very toxic chemical and induces apoptosis very quickly. You can try shorter time points as you suggested, but also you can titrate to lower concentrations of staurosporine and check after 24 hours or shorter time periods.
