Quantity of protein to charge - (Feb/12/2012 )

Hi,

I'm just writting to ask about the minimum quantity of protein to charge when it's needed to analyze transcription factors by Western Blotting. I have read that minimum quantity is 10microg but because of my samples I can only charge 4microg. Will it be a big problem?

Hola, Cris: If only you can detect the tr. factor, it depends of the relative presence of it in your sample,but increasing exposure you could see it. So try to load the amount that you can, or if the limit is the protein concentration of your sample, you can boil more volume and let concentrate it in the heat block. Buena suerte
