Canine raw plasma - (Oct/25/2011 )

I have been working for the past few months on developing a procedure for producing albumin and immunoglobulins from raw plasma. Can anyone give me a non-chromatographic method for precipitation of IgG, IgM, and IgA? If possible the supernatant needs to be useable in order to concentrate the albumin remaining in the fraction.

you can try immunoprecipitation method using anti-IgG or protein A. The protocol is simpler but I am not sure how good the yield is.

SAS...saturated ammonium sulfate precipitation will bring down your IgGs with some contamination of transferrin and albumin. You then need to separate out the specific classes
