succinate dehydrogenase - (Aug/02/2011 )

Hello all,

Recently I read some information about succinate dehydrogenase, which reversiably converts succinate into furmate. This kind of enzyme always contain four subunits: A subunit is succinate binding site attached with FAD; B subunit contains three iron-sulfur clusters; Subunit C and D are hydrophobic membrane anchor subunits, containing one heme b group and a ubiquinone-binding site.
I don't know is it possible to recombinant express only subunitA for activity test?

Every suggestion is welcome!

Thanks in advance!

it may. it depends on how the other subunits regulate the active subunit.
