freezing adherant cells - (Jul/25/2011 )
While preparing freezing media(DMSO +FCS)and due to mishandling a small amount of trypsin is mixed in the freezing media.
Will this trypsin in freezing media show any effect to the cells during long time storage.
Thanx in advance

No! Trypsin should not have any enzymatic activity at freezing temperatures. However, wash away the trypsin prior to seeding your frozen cells.

The trypsin should also be neutralized by the addition of the FCS.
