magnesium gtp solution - (Apr/28/2011 )

I have been scouring the net looking for ways to make Mg-GTP to be used in electrophysiology experiments. Everyone who uses it in their paper cites a paper from 1979 for the recipe, which is unaccessible. I've read a few people mixing MgCl with GTP, but others say that the Cl causes GTP to precipitate. Can anyone help?!

This is why we have the "paper request" subforum. It's foolish to work without a key reference.

i don't think the chlorine will cause the gtp to precipitate but you can use mgso4.
