I am overexpressing AKT1 in normal breast cells and I am seeing weird things when cells are treated in full growth conditions understeady state: in one cell line there is an increase in phosporylation of AKT and in the other cell line there is no change. Can someone help explain this. I expect an inhibition.
thanks

This may be caused by the compensation effects of other signaling pathway, you chould use other AKT inhibitors instead.

so, the molecular environment (expression of proteins and their regulation) for AKT1 is different in your cell lines
