total cDNA amplification by PCR - (Mar/13/2011 )
hi everyone,
i have isolated total rna from an animal tissue and done the first strand synthesis (cDNA). but now i don't have isolated rna and i only have a very small amount of cDNA. so can i amplify that cDNA by PCR using random primers and using a lower annealing temperature?
THANK YOU!!!

It is possible to amplify cDNA for expression analysis. You can read the following papers to know more
High-copy cDNA amplification of minimal total RNA quantities for gene expression analyses.
Simple method for cDNA amplification starting from small amount of total RNA.
