Flow cytometer and cel counting - (Mar/08/2011 )

Hallo Dear Colleagues

I have two strains of E coli. One GFP expressing and one wild type. Can i use flow cytometer to seperate and count both. I need to know number of cells of each. Can Flow cytometry be helpful.? Please help me.

Yes, you can use FACS to count (as %) and isolate GFP positive E.coli. If you google "FACS bacteria", you'll find some info.
