plasmid DNA versus genomic DNA - concentrations (Jan/09/2011 )

why is plasmid DNA more concentrated than genomic DNA? I was told that in order to PCR plasmid DNA, it has to be at a lower number of cycles than what is done for genomic DNA but I don't understand how plasmid DNA is much more concentrated than genomic DNA in the first place. i appreciate any help.

they're talking about molar concentration. each cell has one copy of genomic dna but can contain many copies of plasmid dna.
