protein prep - about prptein preperation in diagnosis (Nov/22/2010 )

hii guys
i am planning to produce proteins specific to sum antibodies . so for an idea i am planning to order an online custamised clone with my sequence of interest . how far does it sound practical and are there any changes to be done while we transform the clones into bacteria or the same as we do it with the naturally clone sequences
please do help me

generally I thought you produce antibodies to a specific protein and not the other way around, but that sounds interesting. You can order a gene sequence at least in Europe at Mr. Gene. They are pretty fast and send the sequence in a regular cloning plasmid, which you can insert directly into your cloning bacterial strain, or you can insert the desired sequence into a different vector for expression.
