X-inactivation chromosome - (Nov/21/2010 )

Hi everybody!!
I am interested to know how I can differentiate between active X-chromosome and inactive X chromosome.
Thank you in advance!!!

for what and how?

there are histone marks and also how it condenses during the cell cycle, it's also known as a Barr Body (the inactive one I am referring to).

very hard to answer more because it's such an open question.
