trouble with protein expression of high AT rich gene - (Oct/17/2010 )

hi there
I am trying to express an endosymbiont gene in E. coli. the gene is in frame with the pet151/D-TOPO vector I am using for expression. the gene has an AT content of 86% so there are some issues with codon bias, thus I tried to express the gene in both rossetta cells (express rare tRNAs) and also in chaperone cells (express extra chaperone proteins) but still no luck.. the control plasmid is working/has successful expression so its not a problem with the IPTG or anything.... help?

do you cells continue to grow after induction with IPTG? ...or do they slow down or halt completely?
