EDTA addition to trypsin solution (1x) - (Oct/01/2010 )

Hi all!

I have a question related to trypsin/EDTA preparation. I have 100ml comercial trypsin solution (x1) and I have EDTA disodium in powder. Is it correct to add directly 20gr of EDTA (0.53mM) to the 100ml trypsin solution, filter and store in aliquots???.... It will disolve correctly?? I have been looking for methods to do that but I have found nothing.

thanks so much!!

Hmm... I'm not sure for such a small amount of EDTA, but based on my experience when I prepare a more concentrated EDTA, the pH is crucial for the solubility of EDTA.
