SDS-PAGE for proteins which have pI>7 - (Sep/15/2010 )

Hi all,

I have several proteins which have pI>7. So, at neutral pH values and room temperature, I get precipitates. Thus, I dissolved my proteins in 6 GHCl to prevent precipitation and lowered the pH. But now, I cannot run them on gel, they remain attached to the wells. I am looking for a suitable protocol.

Also I came across several native PAGE procedures, but I want to perform native PAGE, since I know I have several oligomeric states. That might be the next step for me.

Thanks!

your title is misleading. it says sds-page.

you can use acid-page.
