Where can I get vector suitable for Ligation Indepdependent Cloning - (Sep/08/2010 )

Hi All,

I am interested in trying out ligation independent cloning, as explained here:

http://bitesizebio.com/2008/01/08/get-your-clone-90-of-the-time-with-ligation-independent-cloning/

http://bitesizebio.com/2008/01/17/ligation-independent-cloning-protocol/

Can anyone suggest commercially-available vectors/restriction enzyme combos -- or, if possible, already digested vectors with the long overhangs all ready to go, all you need is your primers modified with the complimentary sequence?

The attached protocol mentions several vectors made by EMBL in Germany, which is nice, but I don't know if there's any way to get these in the US.

Sorry if this is a dumb question -- I don't really know what I'm doing (yet).

Thanks!

Hi KimWG
Try look for Novagen, they have commercially available kits for LIC cloning.
