About Laminin 5'UTR 's function - (Aug/19/2010 )

Dear guys, I know many of you are great masters of cloning. I have a question, I read about some literature that lamin A 5' UTR will increase expression in mammalian expression vector. How does it happen? Because I found some company sold "pure" ORF plasmid, is it OK just ORF ready for transfection?

I wanna know the mechanism of the great job of lamin A 5'UTR, thank you for reading my topic !!

AFAIK, all mammalian expression vectors contain a 5'UTR upstream of the MCS. So you can clone you ORF directly, and it will be provided with a UTR automatically. But I'm not a real clone geek...
