Calculating osmolarity - (Aug/05/2010 )

anyone who know a program to calculate buffer osmolarity from molarity of ingredients?

might help

-Prep!-

thanks prep! your links shows indirectly what the problem is: The author suggests that all ingredients fully dissociate but some buffer ingredients, f.i.some phosphate salts, do not; so,the dissociation constants must be regarded to get the real osmolarity...

wikipedia gives the formula. Question is if you have the osmotic coefficient for all chemicals of the buffer. And it depends on the temperature...
